À propos d'Aviv
I was born in the U.S.A., where I finished high school and began university studies in English. Life's twists and turns brought me to my mother's native country of Switzerland, along with my mom and siblings, in 1999. After working in various service-related industries, I decided to pursue my passion for Russian literature by enrolling in Saint Petersburg State University. I graduated from the language faculty in 2009 and then returned to Switzerland to complete my Master's degree in Slavic Studies. To complement my various translating jobs, I took the CELTA teaching course and began teaching English in language schools around Geneva, mainly at Ecole-club Migros and Ifage. Lately, I have focused mostly on teaching in international summer camps and giving private lessons to children and adults. I spend my weekends at Church, where I serve as a priest. I should mention that my other main area of interest is Orthodox Theology.

The goal of any language course should be to learn to communicate effectively in the target language. And this is exactly what I have always kept in mind when designing, preparing, or delivering English lessons. By employing a blended approach - communicative, lexical, natural and linguistic - I have been able to guide hundreds of learners over the past 20 years or so to that goal.
