I did not have a comfortable experience with Beate. She contacted me using her daughter Julianne’s account for last-minute TOEFL training, one week before her first exam. The immediate solutions I offered based on her availability were rejected. She requested I call her before booking anything, which I understand. I told her I would not be available that weekend, but could call after my vacation. Beate texted me and mentioned a new availability, asking me to call her while I was still out of town. When reminded I was on vacation and when I mentioned that her new availability might not work with my schedule, Beate sent me some passive-aggressive messages. I apologized for any misunderstandings and took time to call her as requested. She did not answer the phone. The way this was handled made me feel that Beate did not respect me as a language professional.
