À propos de Ben
I am a Luxembourgish classical guitarist with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Classical Guitar from the University of Music Trossingen, where I studied in the class of Prof. Jinhee Kim.
I was awarded Third Prize at the Florence International Guitar Competition 2025 and have participated in masterclasses with musicians including Carlo Marchione, Tengyue Zhang, and Ricardo Gallén.
I have been teaching classical guitar privately since 2023, including advanced students, and I have also taught at the Johann Nepomuk Hummel Music School in Weimar as well as worked as a substitute teacher at the UGDA Music School in Luxembourg.
Alongside guitar, I pursued additional studies in Early Music Vocal Performance, including voice studies with Gundula Anders and Baiba Urka, as well as historical plucked instruments and basso continuo with Rolf Lislevand.
In her recommendation letter, my guitar professor Prof. Jinhee Kim highlights my musicality, artistic discipline, and ability to identify both the immediate and long-term needs of a student. She also emphasizes my pedagogical potential and my ability to offer precise, constructive feedback that leads to tangible progress.

I offer individual classical guitar lessons primarily for advanced students, music students, and ambitious guitarists who want to deepen their technique, interpretation, and artistic independence.
My teaching always starts from the musical intention. Technique is not treated as a series of mechanical movements, but as a tool serving sound, phrasing, articulation, dynamics, and musical character.
We can work on:
* advanced right- and left-hand technique;
* tone production and control of sound colours;
* phrasing, articulation, and musical line;
* targeted solutions to technical difficulties;
* efficient and structured practice strategies;
* stylistic interpretation of the repertoire;
* preparation for exams, auditions, competitions, and concerts;
* development of an individual artistic personality.
I place particular emphasis on the physiology of instrumental playing: natural movement, economical use of energy, and the early recognition of unnecessary tension. When a technical difficulty appears, I do not focus only on the visible symptom. Together with the student, I try to identify the underlying cause and develop a precise and individual solution.
My approach is also strongly influenced by my additional studies in voice and Early Music. I transfer principles of breathing, musical rhetoric, articulation, and cantabile phrasing to the guitar. For me, the guitar should not only be played correctly — it should also speak, breathe, and sing.
I do not aim to impose one “correct” interpretation. My goal is to help each student develop their own listening, make conscious musical decisions, and gradually build an individual artistic personality.

Je n'ai jamais eu une leçon de guitare aussi intense, compacte et fructeuse auparavant. Ben sait mettre en évidence ce qui importe dans la pièce et fait comprendre le message du compositeur. Il explique la pièce à travailler dans son contexte musical, analyse l'époque et le style dans lequel elle a été composée sans revenir pourtant à un cours théorique.
MickTrès inspirant, professionnel et sympa. Il ma transmis ce qui signifie la musique et en ce qui concerne la technique il ma beaucoup aidé. Avant j avais des cours de guitare dans l école de musique UGDA mais après mon Diplôme de la 1iere Mention j ai changé le Prof et Ben m a guidé vers un horizon plus ouvert pour la musique, pour la communication avec l instrument et ses compétences professionnelles sont vraiment incroyables.
Ich kann den Unterricht von Ben jedem wärmstens empfehlen, sein unglaubliches Wissen gepaart mit seiner sehr freundlichen Art, seiner Geduld und der Begeisterung für die Musik die einfach ansteckend ist, machen ihn zu dem besten Gitarrenlehrer bei dem ich je Unterricht hatte.
