I am finishing an M.Eng in Data and Artificial Intelligence at ESILV in Paris La Défense, alongside a research position at the De Vinci Research Center where I work on database systems and machine learning. I have a paper under review at an international conference this year.
I teach in English. If your child is at an international school in Paris and the maths is going fine but the French explanation is the obstacle, I can take that obstacle out of the way. I cover IB Maths AA and AI at both SL and HL, A Level Maths and Further Maths, AP Calculus, and the maths and statistics that first-year university and prépa students hit.
I also teach Python, statistics and machine learning to students and to adults who need it for work or for a university course.

Who these lessons are for
Students at international schools in Paris and anyone studying maths in English. I cover IB Maths AA and AI at both SL and HL, including internal assessment support, A Level Maths and Further Maths, AP Calculus AB and BC, GCSE and IGCSE, and first-year university or prépa maths such as calculus, linear algebra and probability. Adults returning to maths for a professional qualification are welcome too.
How I teach
The first lesson is diagnostic. I ask the student to work through a few problems while I watch, because the real gap is almost never where the mark scheme says the mistake is. Struggling with differentiation usually turns out to be shaky algebra. Trouble with probability is usually never having pictured what the question is describing. Fixing the actual gap is faster than drilling the visible symptom.
After that, I teach through problems rather than lectures. I explain a concept once, then the student works and I step in when the reasoning stalls. I ask a lot of questions instead of supplying answers, since a student who talks their way to the result remembers it and one who watches me do it does not.
How a session runs
Sessions are 60 or 90 minutes. We open with whatever came up in class or homework that week, spend the bulk of the time on worked problems, and close by naming the one idea to carry forward. Nearer exams, the balance shifts to timed past papers, working backwards from mark schemes, since IB and A Level both reward recognising question types as much as knowing the maths. Each student gets a short written summary afterwards and two or three problems to try before we meet again. Parents receive a progress note every few weeks.
What I bring
I am completing an engineering master's in data and artificial intelligence and work in a research lab, so I use this maths daily rather than only having passed exams in it. That means I can answer the question students actually want answered, which is what any of it is for. I teach entirely in English, and I am used to explaining technical ideas to people encountering them for the first time.
Lessons are online with a shared whiteboard, or in person around Paris and La Défense. The first lesson is free so we can check the fit before anyone commits.
