À propos d'Anthony
I recently completed my doctoral studies at Cornell University, one of eight universities comprising the American "Ivy League," which also includes Harvard, Princeton, Columbia and others. My primary area of research was comparative literature and post-war French philosophy, topics on which I have published in several scholarly journals in the United States and in France. As a graduate student instructor at Cornell University, I taught English and argumentative writing at the undergraduate level for several years.
In addition to my studies, I have extensive experience working as a professional in Chicago and New York City in the fields of medicine and finance. Previous employers include Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, New York University, Cornell University and Columbia University Medical Center.

A native speaker of American English, I offer private language tutoring of the highest quality to motivated professionals and classe préparatoire students in Paris. My cours particuliers are intended for students who already have a solid grasp of English language fundamentals, and who hope to refine their fluency through regular conversation with a native speaker.
I tailor lessons to the needs of each individual student, taking into consideration his or her immediate and long-term language goals and current level of proficiency. Instruction typically consists of work on advanced grammar and pronunciation, with an emphasis on current colloquialisms and figures of speech. Lessons use a dynamic curriculum involving conversation, reading and writing, as well as a series of concrete performance indicators to ensure that genuine progress is being made.
In addition to refining and developing English language fundamentals, I am able to offer assistance with various technical discourses. I am particularly experienced in law, finance and medicine, and several of my current students are entrepreneurs and executives. I am also happy to work with clients on any writing that may require special attention, including presentations and business correspondence.
Because of the demand for my courses, I am able to take only two additional students at this time. I am always available for short-term assistance with projects such as job interview preparation, though in these cases higher hourly rates apply.
Please note that my lessons are intended for intermediate and advanced adults who are strongly motivated to improve their English for personal and professional growth. Other instructors on Superprof will be better suited to work with beginners or adolescents. My preferred clients are those who have made a firm commitment to cultivating their English fluency over many months of study, and who will settle for nothing less than the highest level of excellence in language instruction.

Très bonne expérience chez English Academy . J'ai eu des cours pour pouvoir passer le TOIEC et j'ai eu la chance d'avoir Mary comme professeur. Elle a été adorable et elle a pris le temps de comprendre mes difficultés pour m'aider et me faire progresser. Toujours souriante et de bonne humeur c'était un vrai plaisir d'apprendre et de réviser l'anglais avec elle. L'équipe d'English Academy est aussi très accueillante et disponible. Je recommande vraiment English Academy qui, je trouve, ai accessible par rapport à certaines autres enseignes qui ont des prix complètement aberrants. En tout cas si je devais dans le futur reprendre quelques cours d'anglais , je reviendrais avec plaisir chez eux !!
Très bon centre de formation avec une méthodologie aux résultats incroyables! De plus, étant d'un naturel très timide et, de ce fait, ne parlant pas beaucoup en public, toute l'équipe m'as mise à l'aise très rapidement et c'est vraiment un bonheur de venir en centre améliorer ses compétences en anglais et de discuter avec le personnel. Je recommande absolument ce centre de formation!

Grâce à Anthony, j'ai énormément progressé et je suis maintenant très à l'aise.
Anthony est à l'écoute et très pédagogue. Ses explications sont claires et sa méthode efficace.
De plus Jane est particulièrement sympathique et les cours se déroulent dans une bonne ambiance. Je ne vois pas le temps passer.

FORMIDABLE!!! J'ai adoré les cours chez English Academy ! Les profs sont vraiment supers, des remerciements particuliers à Anthony et Adam qui m'ont réconcilié avec l'anglais .
