Cours de français (oral/écrit) pour mieux vivre et s’intégrer dans un environnement francophone

Hello! Carel has been my French tutor for five years, and I have to start by saying I had the most amazing experience with her!

From our very first lesson, I remember how comfortable she made me feel when I pronounced things incorrectly or needed to go over topics again. This completely set the tone for the rest of our relationship and tutoring sessions. She frequently connected her French lessons and tricks to her own experience of learning English, which was incredibly helpful and made the language feel so much more approachable. I truly believe this openness is an integral part of building confidence and finding a natural rhythm when speaking, especially in French!

When I was trying to keep up with my school's French classes, I found it really overwhelming to speak and understand the people around me. But with Carel's help, I saw incredible improvements in both my grades and my confidence.

Over the last two years taking IB French B, Carel went above and beyond. She allowed me to send her extra written work to read and correct, which significantly helped me fix the common grammar mistakes I was repeatedly making. Over the summer, she even let me send her voice memos of me speaking French, providing feedback so I could practice for my oral exams. We started practicing past IB papers early on (even before I officially started the IB program), where we were doing reading comprehensions together. By the time my exams rolled around, French was the subject I felt the most comfortable and confident in because we had built such solid strategies together, and I was deeply familiar with the exam questions.

Aside from being an astronomical help and support throughout my high school and IB years, Carel is simply a gorgeous human being who leads all of her lessons with patience and kindness. I could not recommend her more highly!

We have been using Carel for about 5 years now. She has helped me and my two boys (13 and 15) with their French. She is a kind, patient instructor that has helped us all with our speaking, writing and overall comprehension. I recommend her to anyone looking to improve their French, from beginners to the more advanced!

I’ve been learning math and French with Carel for over 5 years now. When I first came, I wasn’t confident in my abilities; however, over time, Carel helped me build a great foundation in math, where I can now do math more quickly and efficiently. As for French, my grammar and vocabulary have improved significantly, as has my overall confidence in the language. I will soon be writing my IB exams, and I feel more prepared for them thanks to Carel.

Carel is an excellent teacher. My children have always been extremely motivated by her teaching. There has been a vast difference since Carel has taught them. My daughter struggled in maths and my son in French and through her patience and knowledge, she explained how many issues can be solved through a one to one teaching.
