À propos de Stuart
Étudié pendant 1 an en Égypte avec Hany Morgan et d'autres professeurs en privé. A vécu à Istanbul pendant 5 ans en étudiant avec Misirli Ahmet et d'autres. Étudier des techniques et des idées modernes avec Yshai Afterman et Zohar Fresco. J'ai aussi vécu en Inde pour étudier Konnankol et Tabla. A vécu en Ouganda pendant 5 mois pour étudier les percussions royales de bugandan et enregistrer les groupes tribaux.
I have been teaching and studying percussion and drum kit full time for 15 years. I play in groups that frequently play to large audiences. I think at the most well attended there were 15,000 people! I have recorded several albums and continue to write and record. I created 500 videos to learn darbuka. You can find these on the darbukain21days website.
This year I have 2 main groups I regularly play with these days; Light in Babylon and Kostana. A full concert with Light in Babylon was recorded by Arte TV in Nuremberg, Germany this year 2024 and you can find it online on the Arte website.
Je continue à jouer régulièrement avec Light in Babylon, Kostana, Meskhane, Johnny Makam et bien d'autres groupes et continue à étudier et à apprécier la musique tous les jours.

Je base mon enseignement sur les besoins et les désirs des élèves. Techniques, développement de phrases, solo, accompagnement, rythmes impairs et création de son propre son. Rythmes traditionnels de Turquie, des Balkans, d'Égypte. Je peux enseigner la darbuka, le bendir et batterie du débutant au niveau avancé. Riq, tabla, konnakol, tombak (zarb), cajon, daf peuvent aussi être enseignés ou incorporés dans les leçons.
J'ai aussi un site darbouka avec des 500 cours pour tous les niveaux

I base my teaching what the student wants to learn and also through years of teaching and learning I can help guide you on your path.
Lesson can cover techniques, phrase development, soloing, accompaniment, odd rhythms and creation of your own sound.
I teach traditional rhythms from Turkey, the Balkans and Egypt. I teach darbuka, drum kit, Indian tabla and bendir from beginner to advanced level. Riq, konnakol, daf, Indian tabla and percussion set ups can also be taught to a good level

Parfait ! Stuart is amazing in his music skills as well as his knowledge! I am learning Konnakkol from him. He doesn’t hold back with passing on his knowledge and he is really patient and encouraging in the process too
Parfait ! In 1 hour, Stuart gave me enough material to work for the next 2-3 months. Awesome! My technique has increased so much after practicing some of the exercises he gave me. I'm really impressed. I now have more inspiration and looking forward to the next lesson.
Also, after the class, he recorded all the exercises and sent me the videos. Excellent!
