My name is Gareth, I'm 31 years old and a relative newcomer to France.
On my extensive travels, I've had the opportunity to teach English in many different countries and cultures (from Tokyo and across SouthEast Asia to Europe) and ages (children in a dedicated English school and professions ranging from mechanics to consultants).

My technique drops students straight into English regardless of level, building their skills and confidence quickly and intuitively.
For young students that don't speak a word, I'll begin with games and interactive and/or physical activities that are easy to understand and that allow children to build their comfort and confidence in English, making it something to look forward to and proudly practice outside of lessons. For children of greater understanding, lessons will be built on their natural interests. In both situations, games are encouraged to keep energy levels and participation up.
A similar technique will be used with adults as I structure lessons to work in the interests and professions of respective students, giving them ample opportunity to practice new vocabulary.
