À propos de Jelena
I know that high-level English can feel intimidating. My greatest strength is creating a supportive, encouraging environment where mistakes are viewed as essential steps toward mastery. My Commitment to You: You will not just learn English; you will learn how to think critically in English. I provide the clarity, strategy, and personalized attention needed to unlock your full potential and step confidently into any academic or professional challenge. I look forward to partnering with you to achieve your academic goals.

My teaching is rooted in a communicative and inquiry-based approach. I don't just teach grammar rules; I teach students how to use English effectively in real-world contexts. Task-Based Learning (TBL): Students engage in meaningful tasks (like planning a presentation, writing a proposal, or debating a topic) that require them to utilize various language skills. The language learning happens through the task. Differentiated Instruction: I constantly assess student needs and adapt materials (texts, tasks, complexity) so every student is appropriately challenged and supported, whether they are striving or accelerating. Focus on the Four Strands: Lessons seamlessly integrate Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing with a strong emphasis on critical thinking and media literacy. For example, analyzing a news article involves reading comprehension, discussing its bias (speaking/listening), and writing a response. Growth Mindset: I encourage students to see mistakes as learning opportunities. Feedback is specific, actionable, and focuses on progress rather than just grades.
