À propos de Justin
[Teaching in English]
I am a highly experienced academic and private tutor. I am Irish and South African and recently graduated from the Toulouse School of Economics with a Masters in Econometrics, as class valedictorian.
I have recently completed two internships in consulting firms in France and Switzerland and am starting a full-time job in September. For the summer, I teach online and live in Paris.
I was a private teacher of mathematics in high school up to my master's degree in econometrics. In addition, I worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Cape Town, where I taught econometrics at postgraduate level.
I have a friendly style and enjoy working with students to prepare them to pass their exams and to master the material they are working on. I adapt to my students' preferences.

Je suis un professeur expérimenté et adaptable qui travaille de la manière qui convient le mieux à l'étudiant.
Dans une leçon typique, l'élève suggère un domaine d'intérêt (par exemple, un travail d'écriture, un concept de grammaire). S'il s'agit d'un concept théorique, nous passons 50 % du temps à l'apprendre en profondeur et à le mettre en pratique. Pour les exercices d'écriture ou de conversation, l'élève s'exerce et reçoit un retour d'information immédiat.
Je suis un professeur gentil et empathique, ayant travaillé avec tous les types d'étudiants. Je travaille mieux avec des élèves motivés qui veulent profiter des leçons et me disent ce dont ils ont besoin. Je peux m'adapter rapidement à de nouveaux sujets et expliquer les choses de différentes manières. Je suis particulièrement douée pour trouver des exemples qui facilitent la compréhension des concepts.
J'ai le plus d'expérience dans l'enseignement de l'économie, des mathématiques et des statistiques à des étudiants universitaires. J'ai un niveau B1 en français pour faciliter les échanges et, en tant que locuteur natif, je peux vous aider à vraiment maîtriser l'anglais !

Justin is a fantastic tutor! He has helped me through both my 4th year econometrics course as well as my master’s econometrics course. He is able to explain concepts extremely thoroughly as well as aid in practical projects. I would highly recommend Justin as a tutor!
Justin has been teaching me Econometrics for about half a year, and he has been incredibly helpful! He goes through intuition first and then moves onto applied questions, so you learn very efficiently. His online teaching method is fantastic and uses up-to-date apps to go through the material. Couldn't recommend enough!
I had tutoring sessions with Justin during my Master's degree in economics and econometrics. Justin had a deep understanding of all the topics we covered, even if presented with them on the spot. I've never had anybody explain both the intuition and the technicalities of OLS, MLE etc. more clearly. In the beginning, we also had a little orientation session to figure out how felt most comfortable being tutored. Justin was very receptive to my style of learning and understanding, adapted to it perfectly and communicated exactly how I wanted. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. My grades improved drastically, and I always had someone competent (and kind!) to talk to.
