My name is Devanand, and I am a researcher and educator deeply passionate about the beauty of logic and numbers. I hold a PhD in Operations Research from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, India, and recently served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Luxembourg.
With over 7 years of experience in high-level mathematical modeling and data science, I have filed 10 US patents and won international AI competitions. My background spans from a B.Tech in Computer Science to advanced industrial engineering, giving me a unique ability to teach both the theoretical side of Maths and the practical side of Coding.
Beyond my credentials, I am a dedicated mentor. I have spent years helping university students and peers break down "impossible" problems into simple, manageable steps. I believe that every student has the potential to master STEM subjects; they often just need a guide who can translate complex formulas into real-world stories.
I bring a high level of professionalism, a structured curriculum, and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching to every session. I look forward to helping you reach your academic goals with confidence!

My approach is built on the belief that Applied Mathematics and Computer Science are not just subjects to be memorized, but languages to be spoken. As a PhD holder, I don't just teach you how to solve a problem; I teach you how to think like a scientist.
My Techniques and Methods:
I utilize a Socratic and Visual Method. Instead of long lectures, I ask targeted questions that lead you to the solution. To make things "fun" and clear, I use:
Real-world Analogies: Relating Calculus to physics or Computer Science logic to everyday decision-making.
Interactive Tools: Utilizing digital whiteboards and live coding environments (like Python or MATLAB) to visualize abstract functions.
A Typical Lesson Process
The Check-in: We review the previous session's concepts and address any "pain points" from your school/university homework.
The Concept Dive: I introduce the core topic using a practical example or a visual demonstration.
Active Practice: We solve problems together. I gradually "fade" my support until you are solving complex equations independently.
The "Fun" Recap: A quick summary or a "brain teaser" related to the topic to ensure you leave the session feeling confident.
