À propos d'Alexey
I am a microbial ecologist by training who works in the general area of environmental and medical microbiology and is currently based in Paris, France. English is the official science language all over the world which I learnt over the course of my career working in different countries including over 8 years in the United States. As a non-native speaker, I have been through all the steps that a person willing to learn English as a foreign language can go through. It means that I can share my personal experience on how I overcame certain obstacles and what helped me become fluent in English. I offer my vision and understanding of the English grammar concepts that native speakers may not be aware of, because they were fortunate to learn English intuitively from birth.

Every student is unique, has different backgrounds and goals in life, and has different questions. Many things that the students are confused about, were difficult for me to understand as well when I was learning English myself. I had to figure them out, learn them, and now I can share this knowledge with others.
Teaching methods and lesson curriculum can be adjusted depending on students' specific needs. The following activities and challenges are examples of what we can work on:
- Advance understanding of the basics through grammar and vocabulary exercises.
- Improve conversational language, using modern, ever-changing English.
- Learn conversational vocabulary, phrases, and constructions used in real life in English-speaking countries.
- Edit professional documents including applications for a new job, school, fellowship etc.
- Polish student’s CV, resume, and cover letter/letter of interest etc.
