Marine needed to develop oral fluency due to her work with foreign clients. Because she is a lawyer specialised in real estate and taxes, we needed very specific materials in order to stimulate the types of communication and vocabulary relevant to her work. We sourced some current articles related to her field, and used it as a framework for our discussions. Our lessons consist almost entirely of discussion and error correction, and I'm happy to say that she is progressing quite nicely. Also, I'm surprised to see how much I'm learning about the in's and out's of investing in real estate in France🙂

In his career in Finance, Romain needed to develop English fluency and confidence in discussing matters related to finance. I developed a course focused on finance and accounting specifically for him. In class, we engage in analysis and discussion of financial statements, financial ratios, and business matters. Romain also role plays presentations and meetings. He has shown good, consistent progress.

Carolina's husband is an architect that needed to develop English fluency and confidence in order to be more effective in his interactions with foreigners. I developed a wide and varied curriculum, which included a presentation workshop, proficiency in describing architecture and design, using numbers, describing physical dimensions, and participating in meetings. In class he role plays presentations and meetings, discusses various architectural projects, and describes art. He has shown excellent progress and is more at ease in English.

Evan is a great student to work with. He's serious about learning and always does his homework, which shows in how well he retains lessons. He's ambitious to learn more, specific with his learning goals, and flexible with different teaching approaches. I highly recommend him.

He has a high level of English skills, so we focus lessons on giving him more variety and specificity in his expression by exploring vocabulary, social phrases and grammar fundamentals. Additionally, classes are directed at fluency and involve a healthy dose of discussion and role plays. As well, he develops writing skills with homework assignments.

Kseniia is a pleasure to teach because she is dedicated and motivated. She had specific requests with regards to the lesson content and delivery, so I developed a course for her that suited her needs. Firstly, we changed topics and themes every week to keep things fresh and new. Additionally, there was work on writing skills and spelling. Also, much time was dedicated to discussions in order to foster her oral fluency.

Nathalie’s son is incredibly dedicated and motivated. His main focus was on improving fluency and comfort in order to improve his presentation skills, so he delivered 2 to 3 presentations per class. By attending classes regularly and following feedback, he has significantly improved to the point where his presentations are much easier to follow and have greater impact.

Eliana has very good English skills after lots of international experience, but needed to refresh her skills and develop effectiveness in order to perform better at a job interview. We worked on clarifying her messages, allowing her personality to shine through, and re-affirming her self-confidence. She was an absolute treat to meet

Helene’s daughter had some native English ability, but needed help preparing for the Cambridge B1 exam. I evaluated her level with a Cambridge practise exam, and then focused on her weakest areas giving her practise and teaching her strategies. In a very short time, she showed a marked improvement.

Mathieu has a fast-rising sales career and needed to improve his effectiveness in international situations. He had a lot of confidence and fluency, but needed to develop his vocabulary and grammar. He found traditional teaching methods to be boring, so we spent all of the class time on discussions and role plays of business situations. After class, he developed grammar skills through homework.

Fabien lives in an English speaking environment, and as a result has some good fluency and natural vocabulary. Teaching someone who already has such natural skills raises its own set of challenges. Therefore, our classes centre around areas where he has weaknesses, or at other times the lessons focus on strengthening an area where he already has ability but lacks a strong foundation. The process is custom made for Fabien's unique combination of strengths and weaknesses. He is a great sport and dives into each lesson with enthusiasm and open ears. He's a real treat to teach

Charles is an incredibly bright boy and a native speaker of English. He has a happy demeanour , a clear focus, and a steady motivation. Teaching him is a delight, as is watching him easily tackle themes and concepts.

The goal in our classes is to supplement his already fluent English with American English language arts curriculum. This involves targeted reading and interpretation, as well as grade 6 grammar and vocabulary fundamentals.

Pauline is charming and personable, and classes with her were always enjoyable. She knew exactly what she wanted to focus on, so it was easy to tailor a course to her needs.

Louise is very motivated and directed. Her goals for the English course were very specific: to learn to perform well in an English interview. For the course, we used some tools, paradigms, and role plays from my job interview eBook. We focused on promoting fluency and crafting convincing, well-structured answers. In just a few classes, Louise made significant improvements.

Omar is a pleasure to work with because he knows exactly what he wants. Omar's goal is to improve his speed, agility, instinct, and reaction time in debating and negotiating. He is less interested in traditional English lessons which focus on grammar or vocabulary. In order to accomplish his goals, I keep the "teaching" to an absolute minimum. Instead, the focus is on speaking, role-playing, and debating. There is also an emphasis on correcting errors. Classes are fast, dynamic, and exciting. Omar has improved the accuracy of his speech, reduced awkward phrasing, and become a more competent speaker.

Rodolphe's son is a pleasure to teach because of his motivation and determination. He came to me because he was having difficulty at school with his English courses. I set a course that addresses his main challenges, especially developing fluent speaking skills, polished writing skills, and a good grammatical base. Due to his good attitude and intellectual curiousity, he is already showing better control and more confidence while speaking. We started the course with a Cambridge exam to get a baseline reading of his level, and will periodically re-check his level to gauge his progress.

It was a pleasure to work with such a bright, dynamic, motivated student. Mathilde has a high level of English fluency, but needed some practise to keep it fresh and continue improving. Her goals for the course were to improve her oral fluency and use natural native English expressions. At her request, in class she gave presentations on academic research studies.

Geraud is a doctor with a good command of the English language who has a desire to 1) keep his English 'fresh' 2) to continue improving his English fluency, and 3) to have fun. I admire his interest in pursuing lessons for the sheer pleasure of it. We set up a plan to explore topics close to his heart such as the outdoors, nature, hiking, food & restaurants. He studies his vocabulary, is confident, and takes every opportunity to chat. Classes with him are lively and always interesting.

Samuel is a great student with a lot of energy and motivation. He came to me with skills in participating in a variety of everyday conversatiional topics, but a lack of vocabulary in discussing themes such as business, or in expressing his ideas more precisely. We set up a plan of focusing on selected themes one at a time, giving him practise and confidence in conversation & vocabulary.

Szapary's son showed quite a bit of potential. In a very short time, he naturally grasped grammar concepts and developed a faster speaking rhythm.

It is a pleasure to work with someone so motivated and dedicated to learn. The student is a software developer and needs to build skills to communicate more effectively in meetings. Together we developed a course to practise oral expression, especially around the topics of marketing, advertising, finance, and meetings. We use a lot of real world materials, role plays, and lengthy discussions, giving the student more confidence and familiarity talking about his work-related topics. For example, after exploring marketing vocabulary, there have been discussions about the world's top brands, and role plays about his marketing efforts. After learning finance vocabulary , we've had discussions of spending habits and financial reports. He has shown great progress in a short amount of time. Thank you

Melisende is a wonderfully bright and motivated student. She comes to class with a great attitude, does her homework, and learns very quickly. In class we focus on writing skills and prepare her for writing university essays and reports. Our second focus is on speaking fluency, and improving speed and vocabulary.

Christine is an absolute pleasure to work with as she is a very ambitious, fast learner. She is a busy executive that needs business English to be effective in meetings, but also general English for socialising. She doesn't want to focus on grammar, but rather prefers to spend most of class time in conversation. To meet her goals, we alternate between business and general English topics, spending 4 classes on each. We use vocabulary, texts, listening exercises to craft our conversations and improve her confidence in communication. She has already noticed some good improvements in her performance.

Thibault is a young boy who has considerable ease in the English language that he developed naturally through video games and TV. I developed a program to give him an understanding of basic English fundamentals to strengthen his skills and increase his accuracy. We also worked to widen his vocabulary to enable him to talk about more unfamiliar topics. He performed very well and attacks every lesson with energy and enthusiasm.

A good student with a good sense of humour. Classes are always fun with Maxime. He is kids around a lot, but is serious about improving his level of business English. He has a talent with natural sounding English phrases, and incorporates them quickly. Through our classes, he has gained fluency, speed, and confidence. I highly recommend him.

Celine was a wonderful student to work with. She already had a good understanding of the basics of English and wanted to develop her fluency with business English. We developed a course that gave her business vocabulary and lots of opportunity and time to discuss various business related topics, especially those related to her field of work.
