I'm Alex Radchenko, FIDE Master and a licensed FIDE Trainer based in Basel. For over a decade, I've worked internationally with players of very different profiles: from complete beginners to national champions, in one-to-one settings and within public and private schools in the UK, Montenegro, Russia and across Europe. Many of my students have reached 2300+ ELO, successfully performed at national and international tournaments, including world championships. My training comes from the Olympic Reserve School of St. Petersburg and the Mikhail Chigorin Chess Club, where chess was taught as a way of thinking, rather than just a set of moves. In my own work, I build on this classical foundation and combine it with modern cognitive and motivational approaches, especially effective for students with ADHD and other attention-related challenges. Lessons are dynamic and situational: we think through positions together, out loud, and in real time, adapting the work to how each student actually learns. I currently teach individual students and train chess teams online, and I also run short-format chess camps and seminars for schools and businesses.
