À propos de Yanan
Hi everyone, this is your future Math tutor Yanan. I'm a passionate, friendly and patient teacher with 5 years of experience in teaching. I majored in Economic Statistics in university and then pursued my Master degree at ESSEC Business School in France. My higher education studies heavily involved math courses, and I had excellent grades during my secondary studies.
I'm here to help release your inner math beast, build a strong core, and prepare for any future path you may want to follow.
So,
don't worry if your current foundation is weak --- we can always take baby steps, but the key is to never stop;
don't worry if you think you can't follow --- our lessons will be tailored to you, and I'll make sure to explain until your "wow moment" comes
don't worry if math seems too difficult for you --- I ensure you that it's all in your head! As we build the foundation little by little, math will become natural and exciting for you, a bit challenging? sure! but 100% in a good way!

During my teaching career, I've seen so many students claiming that they "hate" math because it is difficult. This makes me feel sad as math is reduced to boring numbers, formulas, and theories that need to be memorized only for the sake of exams.
So to change this, I'll help you understand and appreciate the beauty of math by explaining the logics behind every theory and every technique, by connecting theories to their applications, and by taking baby steps to build a solid foundation.
I teach all-level math (A-level, IB), GMAT/GRE math. And lessons can be delivered in either English or Chinese. The length of one lesson is typically 1h.
Lessons will be tailored to your needs. Tell me before class what troubles you or how you'd like the lessons to go, and then I'll design the class and materials to clear all your confusion, and help you practice until you have a good grasp of this chapter.
